Happy Saint Patrick's Day!
My immediate family, with the exception of Curtis and Kevin who reside in Florida, have been spending a week together. A week is too long to avoid difficulties. I wouldn't say we are dysfunctional. I would think that most families have some problems getting along for any extended period of time. All it takes is an incident of small or large proportion to start the action and then the pins start to interact. In our family all the pins must go down. I'm not going into details but I have had this on my mind overnight and tried to make the bowling pin analogy. What makes the pins stand up again? I think we are more like the bowling pins that have the little cords attached to the tops. After we get knocked around, the cords pull us back up and we're standing up again. What those cords consist of is important and in general I would call it self image. It makes for an uninteresting blog. So here is the recipe for No Bakes.About 2 dozen
1 stick margarine
2 cups sugar
4 Tbs cocoa
1/2 cup milk
Melt slowly in a sauce pan, bring to boil-stirring constantly. Let boil for 2 1/2 minutes while stirring constantly.
Remove from heat and add: 1 tsp vanilla 1/2 cup peanut butter.
Stir until melted.
Add 2 1/2 cups quick oatmeal.
Drop on waxed paper or parchment...let cool and eat.
Bye, I'm on my way to the bar!
