One of the best sandwiches is a Bacon, Lettuce and Tomato sandwich. I made a couple tonight for dinner. They are so easy and rewarding, too.
For those who don't know how to make them, here is how. Start with frying the bacon on a low to medium heat. Put a couple of sheets of paper towel nearby (not so close that it will catch on fire) for draining the fat from the bacon. I used three slices of bacon per sandwich. Get out your bread and toast it medium.
While the bacon is gently frying, get out the lettuce, rinse and drain. Tear some off so you'll have enough for a good crunch when you bite in. Check bacon, turn if needed. Rinse off and slice the tomato, or if small, tomatoes.
Those are all of the ingredients except for Miracle Whip. If you don't have Miracle Whip, use mayonnaise. When the bacon is done, drain it in the paper towels. Now you just assemble the sandwich, cut in two and eat.
The best sandwich, for many, is the Peanut Butter and Banana, for short the banana sandwich. Forgive the capitalization errors. This requires no direction except it is best with Jif peanut butter and ripe bananas. Not over ripe. If you haven't tried it, do yourself a favor and try it. There are many other great sandwiches out there, but I just thought I'd share these two with you. PB &J is just too obvious.
